Entertaiment is a broad term that may be taken to mean any agreeable occupation for the mind, such as solving a crossword puzzle. It may also refer to an entertaining spectacle or a performance of some kind. It is a word that can be applied on any scale, from something a person does for himself or herself (such as choosing from among a vast array of pre-recorded entertainment products available to consumers) through to an elaborate event planned and staged for thousands of people.
